The food was very nice. They had great customer service. It was a little incident, but all great.
St. Paul's s was delicious rice was Good but rice had a aftertaste prolly the oil it was cooked in
Awesome food and excellent service. I have search so many other cities for rice and St. Paul's that taste as good as theirs and had no luck in finding any to measure up to young's standards
This is the best Chinese food hands down! Whenever I'm home, ESL, I come here! I haven't found any Chinese restaurant better than this! Everything they have is GOOODD!!!
I absolutely love Young's Chop Suey!!!!! The downside is that it is on the Eastside. If it weren't for Yelp directions, I wouldn't be able to find this place by memory......crazy. I use to have to ask my college friends how to get here. I was first introduced to Young's by my college friends. We would get boxes of fried rice after outings. I always remembered they had the best fried rice. As time passed I thought about them and decided to venture back over the water and see if they still had the best fried rice in East St. Louis. YEPPPPP, they do. I always order a whole order of shrimp fried rice with extra egg. I can't help it, it's my favorite. They do not automatically add egg to their fried rice, so make sure if you want egg in the rice to request it. Also, since they are located quite a ways away from me, I order a whole order for left overs. Their rice reheats very well. I have introduced my family to this spot, so when I'm visiting my mom, I'll suggest taking a trip across the water. Everyone loves their food. We have tried the chicken wings.......absolutely delicious and served crispy.....YESSSS. My nephew is into combination plates, so he's tried their various chicken dishes. The inside is small, standing room only. Usually people place orders in-person or over the phone and wait in the car. Not me, I place my order when I arrive, sit and wait and watch the young man behind the counter. He's my absolute favorite!!!! He super nice and patient but my absolute favorite thing.... He does this really cool matrix hand motion when your order is ready. He motions his hand out towards you and bows his head in your direction, ever so politely, like out of the movies. And that's how you know your order is ready. I just love it when he does that. There is plenty of parking on the street. They have a very visible sign, hanging out front above the door. Their food is ALWAYS hot-n-fresh, very flavorful and delicious. The menu is posted inside along the walls and every so often I notice they have new menu items. They also serve duck, which is a plus. A new menu item, I noticed was chicken egg rolls. The customer service is fabulous. I always call ahead to check hours and dates of operation, especially around the holidays.
Came home, and Chinese food is an absolute must! This is the first time I'd tried this location, but it won't be the last! Everything was fresh, delicious and of great quality!!! We'd eaten at our usual Chinese food location the day before, and while it was ok, we all agreed that we've got a new eatery whenever we come home to ESTL! Oh, and the customer service was surprisingly superb too! As you can see by the pics, we didn't bother waiting to get home, we ate in the car and were so happy we did!
